An Armenian national living in Russia has reported to have fired upon the Turkish embassy in Moscow earlier this morning.
The men, identified by PanArmenia as 43 year old Arthur Mizoyan, fired at the building in the early hours of this morning after parking his car outside. No casualties or injuries have been reported and it is believed that the man did not intend to cause harm to anyone in the building.
Mirzoyan has yet to give any motive for the attack, leading some to speculate that his actions were motivated by recent tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Some Armenians living in the diaspora are well known for being hostile towards Turkish and Azerbaijani people, two groups that many Armenians view as enemies. Although at this point reasons for the incident cannot be confirmed it is likely that any politically-motivated attack would also have held racist or anti-Muslim intentions.
