The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) of Armenia this week celebrates 10 years since the center was first established in the Armenian capital of Yerevan.
The WRC is one of the leading projects in Armenia that promotes gender equality and feminist ideals. They describe their main goal giving women the tools and resources needed to empower themselves through education and support.
Among the areas tackled by the WRC are topics such as domestic violence, women’s health, conflict resolution and creating safe spaces for women. The WRC’s philosophy stems from the idea that Armenian women are able to empower themselves with the right tools and education, which the WRC aims to provide.
The special anniversary was marked with the release of an online video that promoted the ideal of solidarity between women.
